Retail Skills Training has been founded by Shashank Jani having over 26 years of Retail experience in International and local (India) Retail which includes 8 years being based in Dubai, 7 years in Bahrain, Muscat and KSA and 11 years based in India, having set successful Retail Operations in India, Dubai, Qatar, Muscat, Bahrain, Kuwait, Singapore and Russia.
Astute Business Leader with International experience holding Key positions such as Director, General Manager and Business Head with Top Retail Organizations having a bouquet of International brands such as ALDO, ALDO Accessories, Agatha, Bally, BhS, Charles and Keith, GANT, La Senza, Liz Claiborne, Lapin House, Mango, Morgan, Mothercare, Nine West, Promod, Petit Patapon, Pronuptia, Premaman, S. Oliver, Tommy Hilfiger, Veronique Delachaux to name a few, in many retail segments such as Supermarket, Department Stores, Specialty Stores, From Mid to Bridge to High End Brands.
Has won many Awards for Sale Excellence from within the Organizations that he has worked for, from Brands, From Malls and from Govt. Institutions such as DSES Dubai Service Excellence scheme, DQA Dubai Quality Awards, he has been trained as an Internal Auditor, is certified to use DiSC (Psychometric tools), has masters in Psychology.
Retail, once it’s in your blood, it never leaves. With humble beginnings to say from the trenches, as a Sales person to a Store Manager to Area / District Manager to Operations Managers to Business Head to General Manager and to Director, having the passion to Learn and Grow, learnt from the very best in the Retail Industry and now wants to share his Rich Retail Experience and the Retail Skills Training team’s learning’s to Retailers who would like to benefit and grow their business successfully in India or other Markets.
He has successfully trained, coached and mentored many who were once sales associates and today are running large Retail Organizations in the capacity of General Managers and Directors.
Had close associations with International Brands and seen them grow in Strategy from a few stores to over 1000 stores globally and seen some Brands failing and closing down.
